Sustainable Development Project
Acting as the consultant to the Middlesex-Somerset-Mercer regional planning group, MBA.Inc. is working with MSM Staff to develop a GIS-based toolkit for use by local planners to test the consistency of proposed land use patterns with the State Plan and various natural and infrastructure capacities. This project is being developed within a GIS framework to be accessible over the Internet.
Northern New Jersey Freight Rail Database
This project for the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority takes data from various state and national databases on the characteristics of the commuter and freight rail system in northern New Jersey and provides them in a single database and geographic framework. This allows local planners to easily establish information such as active and abandoned rights of way, the number of train tracks, grade crossings and bridges.
