Hackensack/Bayonne Parking Implementation Plan

With the assistance of NJDOT, Hackensack and Bayonne will begin a one year process to complete a parking implementation plan that will be used as a model for other communities dealing with some of the same parking issues. Both Hackensack and Bayonne are Urban Aid Communities facing similar challenges in the areas of transpiration and economic development. Parking is one of the central issues facing these two communities. Both Bayonne and Hackensack are directly impacted by the two largest state investments in Rail (HBLRT and Secaucus Transfer), both have redeveloping commercial districts where parking issues are critical, and both have sited parking as the number one complaint raised by residents and visitors alike. Muller Bohlin Associates has developed a scope of work to advance the parking implementation plan that these cities will complete. MBA will act as project manager for the effort. The result will be a comprehensive parking implementation plan that these cities can pursue.
